In a competitive market where event identities can become blurred, it’s essential to produce a stand out image that makes an impression on your audience. As a new and upcoming weekly event, Sonic needed an identity that was attractive to the student crowd. It needed to drive ticket sales and create a buzz on campus.

I wanted to bring motion to the logo, even in its static form. It’s a design that carries through in both print and digital, whether stationary or animated. The singular striking colour choice of neon pink emphasises the logo and brings life in to the design. The flowing graphic and sound bars interpret movement and pairing the identity with black and white imagery keeps the logo prominent across media.
